Polishing
For When the Paint is Faded
Faded paint can make your car look tired and worn out. Fortunately, there are several effective ways to restore its former glory. Here’s a practical guide to help you tackle this issue with ease.
Wash the Car Thoroughly: Begin by giving your vehicle a good wash. Use a quality car shampoo to remove dirt and grime, and keep in mind that rushing through the process of washing your car, can cause more damage, scratches and swirl marks. To avoid this, use a pre-wash and let it sit on the vehicle for some time. This helps loosen the dirt and grime. A crucial factor in the outcome, as silly as it might sound, is how many buckets you use!
If you use the same bucket that you used to mix the water and shampoo as the bucket to rinse your mitts, you are transferring the same dirt that you took off, back on the car and now you’re giving your car a good scrub with it! And that definitely doesn’t help.
Clay Bar Treatment: After washing, use a clay bar to remove any embedded contaminants. This step will smooth the surface and prepare it for polishing.
Polishing: A good polish can work wonders on faded paint. Look for a product that suits your car's finish. Apply it using a dual-action polisher or by hand, working in small sections.
There are mainly three types of polishing compounds which are used based on the damage to the paintwork. Heavy Cutting, Medium Polishing and Fine Finish
Sealing and Waxing: Once you’ve polished the paint, follow up with a sealant or wax to protect your work. This will help prevent further fading and keep your paint looking vibrant.
Regular Maintenance: To keep your car’s paint in top condition, wash and wax it regularly.
By following these steps, you can bring back the shine and luster to your vehicle’s paint, making it look fresh and new again. Or you can save time, leave it in our hands and we make it stand out. every time.
